Dr. Duane Vandenbusche Speaks on the Early Days of Gunnison Country. Dr. Vandenbusche is an expert in the history of the Crested Butte and Gunnison area and has been a history professor at Western for 53 years. The Crested Butte Heritage Museum has partnered with the Extended Studies Department at Western to bring in another engaging speaker for their Winter Speaker Series. Join the fun and learn something new at the museum as Dr. Duane Vandenbusche Speaks on the Early Days of Gunnison Country, offering his unique perspective on all things Gunnison. The presentation will include a slide show highlighting mining camps, ranching, railroads, skiing, the Black Canyon, Gunnison, Crested Butte and Taylor Park. The private event will take place at the Crested Butte Heritage Museum on January 27th and the cost is $10.
