The 10 North American Ski Areas With The Best Skiers Per Capita
We often measure the quality of a ski area by the local skiers and snowboarders who live and work there. Check out this compilation of mountains (or ski hills) in North America with some of the best skiers and snowboarders per capita.
Crested Butte Mountain Resort makes the list at number 5 being one of the more remote ski ares. You definitely have to go out of your way to get here unless you’re one of the fortunate ones who live here. That said, Crested Butte is one of the most extreme mountains in North America making the extra effort worth every minute. And who knows, you may just run into our “mountain legend” Wendy Fisher out there. It’s worth getting off of the I-70 corridor to explore this extreme mountain and to meet the extreme people to call this place home.
Other noteworthy resorts include our neighbors to the north – Aspen Mountain, Mad River Glen in Vermont, Sugarloaf in Maine, and Jackson Hole in Wyoming just to name a few. Check out the rest of them here The 10 North American Ski Areas With The Best Skiers Per Capita. Does your favorite ski area or mountain make the list?
