In just a 10 day span in January alone, Crested Butte Mountain Resort received 101 inches of new snow. Visitors and locals alike enjoyed pow days galore! The epic snowfall kept our ski patrollers busy all season long. Over 4,000 explosive hand charges were thrown to trigger avalanches before they could be triggered by unsuspecting skiers. Their hard work and efforts did not go un-noticed with the opening of several zones on the mountain that hadn’t been opened in years such as Moosehead and Teo 2 Bowl. Ski bums, tourists and locals alike will be talking about the epic 2016/2017 ski season for decades to come.
