Emma Coburn’s Elk Run 5k
Crested Butte Olympian Emma Coburn has founded the Elk Run 5k, a premier event intended to encourage runners of all abilities. Emma Coburn’s Elk Run 5k hopes to attract runners from across the state in support of a great cause while also promoting both health and fitness. The race is scheduled for September 30, 2017 right here in Emma’s beautiful hometown of Crested Butte, Colorado. A 2016 Rio Olympics Bronze Medal winner, Emma has made everyone here in Crested Butte and the entire state of Colorado very proud. Emma Coburn’s Elk Run 5k is a significant fundraiser in support of the Gunnison Valley non-profit, Living Journeys. Emma has worked with Living Journeys over the years and is very excited to have this opportunity to work with them once again. Living Journeys provides financial assistance, emotional support, and enrichment programs to Gunnison Valley residents affected by cancer; a cause we can all get behind. This race and its cause means a lot to Emma. The race kicks off in the middle of historic Elk Avenue and takes runners out past Peanut Lake and finishes in the shadows of Mt. Crested Butte. Emma is excited to get to show everyone her beautiful hometown of Crested Butte, Colorado so come out and join Olympian Emma Coburn on September 30, 2017 and support Living Journeys. Space is limited so be sure to register early.
