The Lab Presents A Christmas Carol ~
If you’re looking for something to get you into the Christmas spirit, this Wednesday December 20th and Saturday December 23rd, The Lab Presents A Christmas Carol at the Crested Butte Center For The Arts. This holiday classic by Charles Dickens has become a favorite holiday tradition for many and comes to us as a live radio play, complete with vintage mics, period costuming, sound effects, and much more.
The Lab Project, who brings us this holiday production of Orson Welles 1939 Mercury Theatre on the Air’s production of “A Christmas Carol”, is an independent theater program here in the Gunnison Valley. They offer directors and actors opportunities to learn, perform and workshop their work. Their workshops are designed to work around their participant’s busy schedules and are tailored to a participant’s wants and needs.
In this production of “A Christmas Carol”, we will see a handful of actors portraying a variety of characters, bringing to life this classic tale. Many of these actors, you may already know or recognize – Jack Gibbons, David Russell, Benjamin Sexe, Mary Esther Tuck, Rich Driscoll, Shelley Popke, Kristen Joyce, and Cash Lamar; directed by Kathleen Mary. This performance was made possible through a grant from the Crested Butte Creative District with support from the Crested Butte Center For The Arts.
Tickets can be purchased in person at Rumors Coffee and Tea House or at the door the night of the shows. Keep in mind, tickets purchased at the door will need to be cash or check only as they will not be able to process credit cards at the door.
