Here’s hoping you had a fun filled Labor Day Weekend. We are beginning to see gold in the hills as the leaves start to change. August in Crested Butte was packed full of fun summer festivals and amazing live music. We celebrated the 45th Annual Crested Butte Arts Festival which brought in talented artists from around the region and welcomed some great music to the valley such as Sawyer Brown, The Bellamy Brothers, Asleep at The Wheel and Band of Heathens. Summer softball leagues played their playoff games with Pitas taking the title in both the Wednesday league and Tuesday/Thursday league, kids went back to school and the Evolution Bike Park continues to see many visitors enjoying our world class downhill mountain biking. More visitors than ever from all over enjoyed our miles of hiking, biking trails, lakes and rivers.
The Valley’s September calendar remains full as we wind down another great summer season and enter a quieter time of the year. We look forward to the 19th Annual Chili & Beer Festival which will be held on tomorrow starting at noon. The Evolution Bike Park continues to run the Red Lady Express lift daily through September 10th and Friday through Sunday, September 15th through October 1st.
