5th Annual Miner’s Ball ~
It’s that time of year again, the 5th Annual Miner’s Ball is here! Time to dust off the cowboy boots and don your best western wear for a night out dancing and enjoying great company. The Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum will be hosting the 5th Annual Miner’s Ball at the museum and offering heavy appetizers and desserts catered by the new Soupcon owner, David Wooding and John Leonardi, Soupcon sous chef for the past six years. Coal Creek Distillery will be mixing up specialty drinks with their local whiskey, vodka and bourbon and High Alpine Brewing will be serving locally brewed beers. The 5th Annual Miner’s Ball will be taking place Saturday February 10th at the one and only Tony’s Conoco at 331 Elk Avenue. Show off your two step and dance the night away to live music from Cat Leger and later in the evening Harry Harpoon.
The Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum has done an outstanding job over the years preserving and sharing Crested Butte history. They moved into their current location, Tony’s Conoco in 2003 after outgrowing their previous location. Also known as “The Hardware”, Tony’s was the longest running business in Crested Butte. The Museum’s board hatched the plan to purchase and preserve Tony’s Conoco in 2001 which provided the much needed space for the museum while preserving a piece of Crested Butte history.
So come out Saturday February 10th for the 5th Annual Miner’s Ball and show your support for the Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum. Tickets can be purchased here or by calling the museum at (970) 349-1880.
