As we ring in the New Year we close the chapter on another decade and Corey as the #1 agent in all of Gunnison County for sales volume and number of transactions in 2019. We are very proud of this accomplishment and thank our loyal client base that made this possible. While Crested Butte saw a lot of changes over the past 10 years, we are excited to see what the ’20’s bring. The winter season is ramping up after the holidays and the skiing has been fantastic. The days are getting longer as we head into the busiest days of the season. The Crested Butte real estate market closed out the 2019 year with $194,746,635 in sales. This was only $5,145,469 below the 2018 numbers. The average sales price is up an incredible 23% from $658,597 to $850,421 and inventory is down 17 units from December. Currently there are already 33 residential properties under contract with over $23mil in volume to start off 2020.

Current market conditions

The Crested Butte real estate market nearly caught up to 2018 sales and shows definite signs of picking up in January. Residential sales volume for all of 2019 was $194,746,635 down only $5,145,469 from 2018. Amount of transactions was also down 64 (229 compared to 293) and average off list price increased slightly to 4.5% compared to 3.8% in 2018. The average sales price, though, was $850,421, up 23% from $658,597. Currently another 33 properties are under contract totaling $23,171,100, 7 of which are listed at $1mil or more and 7 of which are under contract via our team, 3 of which we are assisting both Buyers and Sellers.
