March is here bringing spring skiing to Crested Butte. Along with the longer, warmer days, businesses around town are eagerly looking forward to our spring break visitors. February brought several snow events to the valley however we could still use some more snow; both on the resort and in the high country. With that said, keep doing your snow dances and with Spring Break right around the corner, be sure to make your ski reservations early as the days, and especially weekends, are filling up fast.

The overall residential real estate market continues to boom, increasing from this time last year by over $32mil in sales volume. Another $72.5mil is currently under contract. The average sales price is up a whopping 35% to $907,051 from $592,352 at this time last year with new inventory in high demand. If you have been considering selling, now is a great time!

Current market conditions

The winter selling season has been incredibly busy despite less than average snowfall this year. The market remains hot despite substantial increase in prices. Residential sales volume through February was $52,609,000, up $32,469,027 from last year along with amount of transactions (58 compared to 34). The average sales price, $907,051, is up 35% from $592,352 last year. Currently another 75 properties are under contract totaling $72,576,700, 25 of which are listed at $1mil or more including this this beautiful home in the town of Crested Butte listed by our office for $3,950,000.
