We hope that you and your family had a wonderful holiday season! It seems many holiday wishes have come true… The “Santa Slammer” storm, and the smaller storms that followed, have brought over 80″ of new snow with them over the past week and more is on the way! Crested Butte Mountain Resort is celebrating their 60th Anniversary Season and the snow is skiing great so be sure to get out on the hill!
2021 was a busy year and we have much to be grateful for. Crested Butte Collection closed 80 transactions and $64,156,400 in sales volume in 2021.The Gunnison-Crested Butte real estate market closed out the year with a record $577,686,429 in sales volume. This was $136,904,387 over the 2020 numbers. The average sales price in the Gunnison Valley has risen to $890,117 from $770,597 in 2020. That is an increase of over 13%. Inventory in the north end of the valley remains low with 15 fewer listings than December. Currently there are 74 residential properties under contract in the north end of the valley with over $57mil in volume to kick off 2022. We anxiously look forward to what the new year has in store!

Current market conditions
We saw incredible momentum in the 2021 Real Estate Market. Home prices have increased substantially throughout the past year and continue to rise. Crested Butte and Gunnison real estate remains strong with inventory remaining our biggest challenge heading into the new year. Residential sales volume through December 31, 2021 was $577,686,429; up $136,904,387 from 2020 along with amount of transactions, (649 compared to 572). The average sales price, $890,117, is also up 13% from $770,597 the previous year. Currently another 74 properties are under contract totaling $57,256,777, 15 of which are listed at $1mil or more including a ski-in/ski-out Westwall condo unit.
