April 2023 Edition

And that’s a wrap! Sunday, April 2nd was closing day to what has been another amazing ski season! Ullr blessed Crested Butte Mountain Resort this year and we closed with 326″ of total snowfall and a 99″ base. It was a busy weekend with Flauschink festivities, Disco Inferno, the Pond Skim and wrapped up with DJ Red.

Though the Crested Butte Mountain Resort season has come to an end, Monarch Mountain has extended their ski season to April 16th. If you’re not quite ready to hang up the skis, there are still several resorts throughout the state still open for spring skiing. You can find a list of Colorado ski area projected closing dates here.

It’s that time of year… The Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce is holding their 2023 Chamber Business Awards. The Crested Butte Collection is up for nomination in two categories:

  • Real Estate Business of The year
  • Overall Business of The Year

The overall residential real estate market has continued to normalize as we closed out the first quarter of 2023. We ended March with $25.8mil in sales volume year to date putting us $29.8mil below the sales volume at this same time last year. There is currently $43.3mil under contract. The average sales price however is up 15% and inventory is still disappearing almost as soon as it hits the market.

Appreciatively,

Town Events

Off-season is here and businesses around town are taking a much needed break before we head into the busy summer season. Though the local event calendar is a bit shorter in April, there are still plenty of off-season events and activities to help avoid “cabin fever”.
