Crested Butte South

Crested Butte South, also known as CB South by locals, is a family-oriented subdivision with a high number of year-round residents. The subdivision is located 8 miles south of the town of Crested Butte on the east side of CO State Highway 135, and is adjacent to the Cement Creek recreation area known for hiking, mountain biking, ATV trails, and camping. CB South is the largest subdivision in the Gunnison Valley, accounting for approximately 10% of all Gunnison County residents. The 460+ acres is primarily residential with a handful of businesses and over 30 acres of open or park space. Red Mountain Park is centrally located in CB South. The park has a fully fenced softball field, fully fenced tennis court, climbing boulder, skating pond, curling sheets, bicycle “pump” track, playground, picnic areas, and public restrooms. Red Mountain Park is also home to an NHL-sized hockey rink where you will find open skate times or league games. Crested Butte South has a small commercial zone consisting of several daily needs businesses and services, such as:
