If you haven’t had a chance to get out and see the changing leaves this season, now is the time. We’ve just about hit peak color here in the Colorado Rocky Mountains so if you’re planning on heading out this weekend, here are The 9 Most Breathtaking Aspen Groves in Colorado. From Old Fall River Road in the Rocky Mountain National Park to Guannella Pass, you’re sure to find spectacular color no matter where your weekend travels take you. Lucky for us, two of The 9 Most Breathtaking Aspen Groves in Colorado are right here in our own backyard. Reaching elevations over 10,000 feet, Kebler Pass is home to one of the largest aspen groves in Colorado. With brilliant color from Crested Butte to Somerset, there are plenty of great photo opportunities along the route. Though Kebler Pass is gravel almost the entire 31 miles, it is well maintained through late fall. Off of Kebler you can head south toward Gunnison on Ohio Pass, another beautiful fall drive through aspen forests. Cottonwood Pass also makes the list at No. 6 however you’ll have to wait another year to be able to drive the entire pass from Buena Vista to the Gunnison Valley as the pass is closed for road construction through 2018. Be sure to check out the rest of The 9 Most Breathtaking Aspen Groves in Colorado before you head out to take in the beautiful colors of fall this weekend.
