Colorado ski towns’ tax income is on the rise. Mt. Crested Butte and Crested Butte are both in the top 10 for increases over the same period last year. It is evident that we have many more people coming to town than we have in the past. And based on these statistics, that number is just going to continue to rise.
Colorado Association of Ski Towns (CAST) sales taxes
The following list shows how the top 26 Colorado ski town/resort communities are doing this year in sales tax collection from January through May in 2015 as compared to the same time in 2014.

1. Mountain Village 22.5%
2. Minturn 20.8%
3. Avon 18.4%
4. Frisco 17.3%
5. Mt. Crested Butte 14.7%
6. Silverton 14.5%
7. Crested Butte 13.1%
