New this year at Crested Butte Mountain Resort will be the Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks. The renderings promise a sweet new bar with a 35 foot diameter retractable umbrella rooftop!  The bar will be built at the mid-mountain Ten Peaks location, at the top of the Painter Boy, Prospect and Gold Link lifts.  The building cost is set at around 1 million dollars and the plans include a large deck area, new restrooms and a new cook cabin which is scheduled to open during the 2015/2016 ski season.  Guests can enjoy a snack and drink (or two) while taking in incredible 360 degree views of the spectacular West Elk Range and Paradise Divide. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is describing it as “one of the most picturesque bars in Colorado ski country”. There will be indoor seating for 75 people, plus an additional 2,400 square feet of deck space to enjoy a break between laps.  The new food cabin will be serving fish tacos, sausages and panini sandwiches alongside a full service bar with six beers on tap.  The Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks will also be bringing back Gluehwein to the mountain menu, a classic Austrian mulled wine for all to enjoy!
