January 2016 Market News:
2015 was a very busy year for the Crested Butte real estate market. The yearly number of condos and homes sold were down slightly from 270 to 250 total sales. However, sales volume was over $10.9 million higher than last year, with a 2015 total of $139,788,909. Of those, 33 condos and homes sold for over $1 million. Reduction off list price for the year was 6.4%, which is down from 8% in 2014. An additional 56 condos and homes are under contract, six of which are listed for over $1 million.
Land sale transactions in 2015 nearly doubled from 63 in 2014 to 114 total sales in 2015. The total land sales for the year are valued at $24,359,450 which represents a $5.1 million increase from last year. Two of the parcels sold for over $1 million and 9 more land parcels are under contact.
