Super Bowl LII Is Here ~
The 2018 Super Bowl LII is here and even though the Patriots are favored to beat the Eagles, it should be an exciting game. The Patriots are gearing up in hopes of winning their sixth Super Bowl title which would tie them with the Steelers for most Super Bowl wins. The Eagles are one of 13 NFL franchises to have never won a Super Bowl so regardless of the outcome this evening, history is in the making.
Love him or hate him, Quarterback Tom Brady is suiting up for his eighth Super Bowl. Now in his 40’s, Tom Brady was drafted in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft to the New England Patriots and is one of only two players in history to have won five Super Bowls. As if that isn’t impressive enough, Brady is the only player to have won them all playing for one team.
The Eagles have been to the Super Bowl twice, facing the Patriots in their second Super Bowl appearance following the 2005 season. The 2018 season has been a tough one for the Eagles. Constant underdogs, the team has been plagued with injuries. Quarterback Carson Wentz has been sidelined due to injury so backup Nick Foles will be starting this afternoon after starting in only 3 games during the regular season. Only two other quarterbacks have started fewer games in the regular season before starting in a Super Bowl. As luck would have it, they both won.
So whether you’re cheering for the Patriots or the Eagles, Super Bowl LII is here and should be an exciting game. Pink will be singing the National Anthem before kickoff and Justin Timberlake is back, playing the Half-time Show (just don’t expect any wardrobe malfunctions). History will be made this evening no matter who wins.
