While town is still pretty quiet going into May, the calendar features some fun spring off-season activities such as KBUT’s Off-Season BINGO Night on May 4th, Mother’s Day Paint Your Own Pottery on May 5th, and the Original Growler race May 26-27. The weather is getting warmer and the biking has been great down at Hartman Rocks which continues to open more trails throughout the spring season. As things continue to dry out in Crested Butte we’ll start seeing more trails opening in the north end of the valley. CB SUP just opened a second location in Gunnison and celebrated their grand opening on Sunday, April 29th with a BBQ and great deals on equipment purchases and rentals. Click Here for a map of great places to paddle throughout the Gunnison and Crested Butte valley. Be sure to check out their Stand Up Paddle and Kayak packages when planning your Crested Butte or Gunnison getaway. Spring conditions in Colorado are ever changing so don’t forget to check local weather here before heading out for the day. Summer activities around town will start picking up Memorial Day Weekend here in the Butte, in the meantime, contact the CB Chamber of Commerce or click here for information on businesses and restaurants who are open throughout the off-season. For now we’re enjoying the quiet streets and off season activities as we anxiously await the Evolution Bike Park Opening Day which is June 9th and the beginning of what looks to be another busy summer season.
